Tasty Treat Tuesday

Today's treats are Banana Bites.

Bananas are a great snack for us dogs.  Just be careful.  They are fattening so if you have a dog with a weight problem go easy on these treats.

Things you will need:

3 cups oatmeal
1 1/4 cups wheat flour
2 eggs
1/4 cup of oil
1/2 cup of honey
1/2 cup of milk
2 mashed bananas.

Preheat oven to 325.

Mix all the wet ingredients together first (oil, honey, milk, bananas, and eggs)

Next add the flour and oatmeal.  Mix until you have a smooth batter.

Pour the batter onto a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes.

Once your banana bites are cool, use a knife or pizza cutter to slice them into small bite size squares.

I'm a rescue dog who has been living with my Most Perfect Family That Ever Was since March 2009. I was awful skeered when I first moved in but with lots of lovin' and cheese therapy, I have come a long way. I still have a ways to go and I would LUVS it if you would come along on my journey!

Look how cute this is!  That's me and Mom.  My paw is a lot cuter then her hand.

I went for my nightly walk, came home and played outside a bit, the got ready for bed.  Callie was in my spot so I walked all over her until she moved.  Now I have my nice cozy bed and I can get some rest.  Goodnight!

Tasty Treat Tuesday

Today is Tasty Treat Tuesday!  On Tuesdays I am going to be finding yummy treat recipes and baking them (with the help of my people).

Today's treats are Peanut Butter Cookies.  These were made with the help of my kid friends.

To make the treats you will need:

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 cup all natural peanut butter
1 cup milk
1/2 cup cooked oatmeal

Preheat oven to 375 and butter a baking sheet.  Mix the ingredients in a bowl until dough begins to form.

Roll out the dough and cut into shapes.

Place on greased cookie sheet and bake 20 minutes.  Make sure to let them cool before feeding to your pet!

Delicious!

My name is Chomp

Hi everyone!  My name is Chomp.  I am a pit bull terrier mix.  My family got me from Treat Em Right Rescue. I am around 11 weeks old and having the time of my life!  I have 2 dog friends and 2 cats that live with me.  We also have 3 kids, some crabs, and some frogs.

This is me on my first day at home.

This is me clowning around.

This was my latest photo shoot in the blue bonnets.

As you can see my mom loves to take pictures of me.  I also have a Grandma that is a professional pet photographer.  You will be seeing a lot of photos of me but also helpful tips, recipes, and other info as I come across it.
