My name is Chomp. I am a Pit Bull puppy trying to change the world one lick at a time. I was brought home to my foster family at 5 weeks old. My mom was taken off the streets pregnant and gave birth that same day. A few of us puppies were lucky enough to go into foster homes. Sadly my remaining brothers and sister ended up with Parvo and lost their fight. Through my site I would like to show what great dogs bully breeds can be!

Natura recalls several brands of dry pet food with expiration dates before June 10, 2014
Due to concerns of Salmonella contamination, Natura Pet has issued voluntary recall of Innova, California Natural, EVO, Healthwise, Mother Nature, and Karma brand dry dog food and treat products with the expiration date on or before June 10, 2014.
The company made the following statement on it's website:
"We made this decision in part due to a single positive Salmonella test by the FDA on product manufactured April 3. Normally, this would have resulted in retrieval of product manufactured over just a few days. However, we are taking the additional precautionary measure to recall all products in the marketplace. Our first priority is the well being of the pets we serve."
Salmonella can affect both animals and people that come into contact with the bacteria. The most common symptom of salmonella poisoning in dogs is diarrhea.
If you purchased any of the recalled products, discard them.
For product replacement or refund, download and complete this form.
For more information visit www.naturapet.com.

Natural ways to stay flea free this summer
Now that it is officially summer it that time of year where pet owners start waging their own personal war against fleas. Hot, humid conditions are the perfect breeding ground for these small, blood sucking creatures.
What is a pet owner to do when man's best friend is being bitten so much that they scratch themselves raw and cause hot spots and infection? I personally have a dog that is very allergic to fleas and she is miserable unless we get the situation under control.
Many pet owners are forced to put chemicals on their pets only to find out that the fleas are back within a couple of weeks. We personally have tried several prescription flea treatments. It never fails. By week 2 the dogs are back to scratching.
Many others have harsh chemicals sprayed in their yard. The chemicals can be harmful to children and pets as well as damaging to the environment. Certain chemicals in pesticides have been linked to cancer and asthma, as well as other diseases.
You can skip all the expensive chemicals and still rid your home of fleas. Here are some natural flea treatments that I have relied on in the past and they seem to work great!
- Ectopamine Spray - Ectopamine is a natural flea and tick spray for dogs and cats. It contains natural ingredients that kill fleas and ticks, and repel mosquitoes.
- Beneficial nematodes - Nematodes are tiny worms that eat fleas. You spray them in your yard to kill fleas as well as other pests in your yard.
- Diatomaceous Earth - Diatomaceous Earth is a fine powder that can be sprinkled in the yard. It is made out of crushes shells. It works by cutting into the fleas causing them to dry out and die.
- Borax and salt - You can make your own indoor flea treatment by mixing equal parts of salt and borax. Borax can be found in your grocery store's cleaning aisle and works by dehydrating the fleas. the salt works the same way but has sharper edges causing small cuts that cause the flea to dehydrate faster. Sprinkle the mixture in carpets and on furniture. Rub in with a broom. Allow to sit for a few hours then vacuum.
- Vacuuming - Vacuuming regularly will get rid of fleas and their eggs. Just be sure to change the bag every time or you will hatch the eggs in the vacuum and release the adults back into your house.
By staying vigilant you can stop fleas before they become a huge problem. In the end you will have happier and healthier pets.

Fun in the sun!
When I woke up yesterday I thought it was going to be a normal day. I figured I would go outside for a bit. Come back in and eat some breakfast and then spend the day playing. I was in for a BIG surprise. After I ate breakfast my family got all us dogs together and loaded us in the van! I have never been in the van with my sisters because I bother them too much. The kids were so excited and smelled like some yummy coco-nutty stuff. I smelled some yummy snacks too.
After I ran around for a bit I thought I would check on the kids. They looked like they were having a lot of fun so I thought I would join in.
I thought I would take a little break. I even had my own chair and a new blanket to lay on.
After a quick break it was time to play some frisbee! I am not a big fan of toys, but I love to run after my sisters.
It was almost time to go, but we couldn't leave the beach without feeding some Cheetos to the seagulls. How could I be interested in watching seagulls when there were Cheetos to eat!
It was the best day ever! I can't wait to go back and play some more. In case you were wondering about my sisters and the kids, they had a great time too!
I am one, happy boy! this is me with my dad at the end of the day.
Have a great night!
Love,
Chomp XOXO
As soon as we got on the road I settled in and went right to sleep. Car rides make me tired. After driving for FOREVER I started to smell some salty air! Everyone said we were at the beach! We went to a nice beach house and unloaded everything. We dragged toys, coolers, water bottles, dog bowls, frisbees, beach chairs, kids, and me and my sisters down to the beach.
I was SO excited! I ran right into the water and rolled around in the sand. There were so many smells! the seaweed was my favorite! I even found a nice dead seagull to roll on. Mom told me "No!" and I had to leave it. Oh well. I'll find it again next time.
